Receet is thrilled to announce their selection into the 3rd cohort of Dubai Smart City’s Acceleration program. In an intensive 3-day series of demo events, 21 startups from across the MENA region met with Dubai Smart City partners, mentors, and dedicated team to pitch their startups and prove they have what it takes to not only compete but dominate markets across the region.
Dubai Smart City Accelerator, the MENA chapter of Startupbootcamp, is the leading program supporting innovative companies in IoT & Connectivity, AI, Blockchain, Sustainable Cities, and Smart Retail Industry, to name a few.From mobile robots to geofencing solutions, mobile health application to digital receipts solutions. Startups across the globe came together in Dubai to vie for the opportunity to join one of the top accelerator programs in the region.
Representing Receet during this 3-day event was Founder and CEO Omar Barkawi. Impressing judges across the board, Barkawi presented Receet’s innovative approach to digital receipts. With a fully integrated system that connects to retailers' POS system, Receet foregoes the need for paper receipts giving retailers the opportunity to save millions while offering their customers dynamic personalized receipts.
Despite the fierce competition, Receet brought out their best and showcased the power of their industry defining innovation, earning the Palestinian startup a coveted spot among 10 of the most game-changing startups in the region.
Joining Dubai Smart City’s 3 month Accelerator program, Receet has gained access to mentorship from a host industry experts, office space in Dubai, seed funding, and access to a global network of investors and corporate partners from across the Smart City Industries.
This announcement comes at a major turning point for Receet, as people around the world begin to step up and demand a more sustainable future, startups that offer eco-friendly alternatives to paper receipts like Receet are stepping up to transform the future of retail for the better.
